Metalworx, Inc. believes in long term relationships with our customers and employees. We employ Lean practices in our plant from 5-S discipline to SMED changeovers on customer products. We look to reduce changeover times because as a customer you don’t want to pay for any non-value added process and by implementing Lean practices we look to improve constantly.  Our employees change from one part to the next without using bolt-down fixtures and indicators to “set-up” the part each time.  We respect the employee too much to waste their time in repeated “set-ups” and we value our customer too much to charge them each time for something that only needs to ever happen once.

With inventory cost one of the biggest wastes in American business today, operating as a Lean manufacturing company allows us to pass value not cost along to our customers with quick delivery of quality parts and assemblies.

Quality is something that can only be affected by the employee who is operating the machine to produce the needed parts. That being said, our employees are the Quality Control at Metalworx, Inc. along with our E2 shop management software program that allows our staff the resources and information to track the daily performance of our employees and our processes, as well as any non-conformance data.   We provide all the equipment necessary to provide total quality service to our customers.(Brown & Sharpe CMM, Comparator, and a growing line of Calibrated measuring equipment and tables) We have a QA department to audit the work produced and ensure only the best product reaches our customers. Metalworx, Inc. can provide quality documents with all parts produced and we are working to Mil standard 105D.

The welding department is certified to American Welding Society (AWS) standards D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, and D1.6. they are Qualified in Stick Welding (SMAW), Flux cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and we are currently working to  certify our Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) Process.
